Reflection

Reflective layers reduce heat gain and glare

Without such a film, energy transmission is 83%, reflection 8% and absorption 9%. If you apply a solar control film, such as LLumar R20 SR CDF, only 11% of solar energy is transmitted, while 57% is reflected and 32% absorbed.

Solar control films are either reflective or spectrally selective depending on design and reduce heat gain as well as disturbing glare.

UV Protection

Reduce UV radiation with largely natural glass appearance

• For applications where the transparency of the glazing should be completely preserved, special clear UV protection films such as UV Clear are available.
• They are particularly suitable for museums, galleries, boutiques or shop windows where exhibits, goods and sensitive materials need protection from UV-induced fading without significantly changing the appearance of the glass surface.

Break-In Protection

Hold glass shards together and make rapid entry more difficult

The glass shards adhere to the film and are prevented from entering the interior uncontrollably. At the same time, the security film distributes the force generated by impact over a larger area of the glazing. After glass breakage, the pane therefore initially remains largely as a cohesive surface. This additional protective effect makes a complete breakthrough more difficult and can significantly delay entry through the glazing. Depending on the film system used and glass structure, tested and certified security solutions are also available that offer increased protection against forced entry.

Privacy

Light passes through, the view does not
