Safety Series

Clear as glass, but with retention: on impact the film spreads the force across the whole pane. The glass breaks — the fragments stay on the film and in the frame. Two independent tests document the effect.

EN 356 test
Ball-drop test with no penetration

Three specimens of 1100 × 900 mm, 6 mm float glass with ARM Safety clear 12 mil (300 µ). Three impacts each from a drop height of 1500 mm. Result: the glass broke, penetration in no case — class P1A.

EN 12600 test
Pendulum impact with twin-tyre impactor

Five specimens of 876 × 1938 mm, 4 mm float glass with ARM Safety — the fragments are held together by the film. Class 2 (B) 2.

Two jobs
Burglary resistance is not injury protection

12 mil delays entry — that is the job of EN 356. Holding the fragments together is the job of EN 12600. Which thickness is right is decided by the use, not the price.

Important
No solar control

The clear Safety films reject only 2 to 13 % of solar energy. If you need heat rejection and shatter protection at once, combine the Safety Series with a solar control film or choose a tinted safety variant.
